Happy V-day

Anyone doing anything special? I’m not so much into Valentine’s day. Probably too much lack of V-day cards in my younger years.  I love those kid’s Valentine’s cards, tho, you know w/ the cartoon characters. Those are so much better than the grown-up cards.  And any excuse to get give chocolate–no, get, get is correct, let’s be honest–is alright, too, altho one shouldn’t really need an EXCUSE to give me chocolate or flowers. (Oh! How did ‘flowers’ get in there? huh! hint, hint)

In Korea, there’s Valentine’s Day, where the girls give their boys something and then White Day is 1 month after that so that the boys can reciprocate (ha!) and then Black Day one month after that (think so; memory hazy; anyone want to jump in here?) where people who are not part of a couple can…celebrate their independence, of course! And then there is also Rose Day and Ppeppero Day and, people, I’m telling you it’s out of control.  Good times. Lots of emphasis on couple-hood/love/etc.

Finally, I miss Nikki. Anyone w/ me on that?

and on the v-day card topic–a friend sent me a kid’s card like you mentioned, and it really made my day. so yes, the kid cards are so much better!

It’s hard today, knowing this will the last VD with my wife. There’s nothing happening.

I miss Nikki too. Vox is a pain to use and not enough people know about it.

i’m with you on missing nikki’s blog.

also wanted to let you know that i felt extremely convicted after your ‘nonshoveling snow’ post. so, yesterday i made sure our sidewalk was nice and cleared.

(of course no one can use the sidewalk anyways, seeing as no one else has shoveled theirs.)
