The Good, the Bad and the Ugly: Kitties Revisited

Troy has developed nicknames for our 3 kitties ( I know you are sick of hearing about them but that’s all I’ve got tonight):  Slinker, Stinker and Squeaker. The first two names pay homage to JRR Tolkien’s character of Gollum whose dual personality is nicknamed by Sam as Slinker and Stinker.
Slinker = Sweetie. Despite having been in a warm house w/ regular meals and human affection for 5 mos now, she still is very much the wary street cat, slinking around at the slightest disturbance with her tail between her legs, poor thing.
Stinker = Shadow. She has turned out to be, as Troy puts it, ‘the fun police’. If she thinks either of the other cats are having a good time she’ll take them down.  Well, and even if they are not having particular fun, either; case in point being tonight. I was in the basement trying to rig up some shelving upon which to put my seed trays (didn’t work, tho) when Sweetie goes over to use her litter box. just as she finishes up, Shadow streaks over to her and starts beating her up. Sheesh. Can’t a cat even pee in peace around here?
Finally, Ollie = Squeaker because, well, he talks a lot. Only not talk like you and me.  Talk like cat talk, squeaky and meowy-like.  But you can have a pretty good conversation with him when he gets going.

And that’s it from Catland.  They are still not getting along, the three of them. I think we need some cat intervention.

Addendum: Actually, we have been calling Ollie ‘Squeaker’ or ‘Squeak’ for awhile now; I guess Troy didn’t come up w/ that one…

Now we know why the Slinker and Stinker were kicked out of their previous residences.

i think they would all be absolutely fine if they were the only kitty in the household; it just seems like the two girls don’t want to share with either each other or ollie. Well, Sweetie would share with Shadow but not Ollie and Shadow won’t share with either of them. Ollie is just confused about it all.
