Good times!

My friend Sharon stopped through on her way home from an out-of-town business meeting.  We only see each other about every 2 years or so and even though we email constantly that of course is not the same.  And even though the weather didn’t really warm up much until today, when she went home, I would hope that she had a good time.  And last night some of our co-workers who live in the city dropped by and there were actual, real-live people who talked in, well, words in my kitchen and that was nice, too.

UNfortunately, after last week’s blissful baby sleep patterns (during which I actually felt like I had caught up with my sleep for the first time in 6 months!), Miles reverted to his not-at-all blissful sleep habits. Is it teeth?  Is it a developmental leap? Who can say? Only Miles could say and he’s not talking.

And speaking of Miles, his most recent well-baby check was Monday and he is 28.5 inches long (95th percentile in length) and 19 lb 13 oz (75th percentile in weight). Obviously, the poor child is starving.  Starving AND sleep deprived.

Yes, indeedy, Auntie Sharon had a very good time. She is missing Miles excessively at the moment, just an hour after arriving home. She wants to kiss that sweet baby face and also she wants to tell him thatlong naps are good and wonderful and almost as exciting as snorting with laughter type events.
