Hot Topic

So we’ve been having some lovely June weather here in Our Fair City. And by ‘lovely’ I mean ‘hot’. And by ‘June’ I mean ‘August’.

It’s been in the NINETIES here recently. 90s. 9 + 0. Today was 92. Ninety and then two more.

It is JUNE. It is NOT August. Nor is it late July. It is JUNE. EARLY June, in fact, and it should NOT be in the wind-that-makes-toast-out-of-bread-slices-sweat-dripping-down-the-back-of-your-calves-parched-ground-plants-dying 90s yet.

(Global warming? WHAT global warming?)

Absolutely zero sympathy, ma’am. I cannot sympathize while my body is shivering in June. Global warming? What global warming? You mean the kind that is making it snow here in June? (Seriously, I do know about global warming. It’s just that the Stupid Inland Northwest seems not to know it’s happening. Stupid climate.)

Ah, but that’s the beauty of it, Sharon. It makes all the weather more extreme 🙂 I would gladly exchange the heat for the chill with you. I think we live in the wrong places (altho I don’t want Spokane summers, either)
